Skilled Worker Visa
The Skilled Worker visa allows individuals to enter the UK working for an approved employer, take their family with them and request permanent settlement after five years. This visa replaces the Tier 2 (General) work visa.


Eligibility Requirements:
Working for an approved UK employer
Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)
Working in a suitable profession
Receiving the set minimum salary
Receiving a confirmed job offer
English proficiency at least at CEFR B1 level
Being at least 18 years old
Application Process
The process varies depending on whether you are applying from abroad or from within the UK. The steps needed to verify your identity differ depending on where you are from and your passport type. Once your application is complete, you will usually receive a decision on your application within 3 weeks.

Occupational code of your job and employer's licence number (found on the Certificate of Sponsorship)

Costs and Fees
Costs and FeesThe standard visa fee starts at £719, this can increase to £1420 if you plan to stay for more than 3 years. You should consider the following costs when applying:
Application fee: £719 to £1639.
Health services fee: £1035 a year.
Living wage: Minimum £1270. (If your job is on the immigration payroll, your application fee may be lower)
Points System
When applying to work in the UK, you need to score 70 points in total.

If You Want to Stay Longer in the UK
With a Skilled Worker Visa, you can stay in the UK between 1-5 years.
When your visa expires, you can apply for an extension if the appropriate conditions are met. The criteria you must fulfil for an extension:
Continue to do the job you stated in your first application
Adhering to the occupational code specified in your first visa
You are working with the same employer
If you want to extend the visa of your spouse or child, this is not done automatically. They need to submit a separate application. If you contact us, we will handle the entire process on your behalf.
Change of Job Status
Some situations where you need to update your visa:
If you want to work with a different employer
If your new job falls under a different occupation code
If you leave your job on the immigration salary list for a job that is not on the list
If you will continue to work for the same employer, but with a different occupational code, you will need to update your visa.
Separate applications must also be submitted for your spouse and children.
Additional Work
You do not need to update your visa if you work overtime, there are no restrictions. You can work up to 20 hours a week in another job as long as you keep your main job.
